Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)

Call/Text: 646-306-0419

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is an extremely common condition many people experience periodically due to bacteria entering the urinary tract. Although possible for male patients, it is far more common among the female population to get a UTI due to anatomical differences. Types of UTI include bladder infection (cystitis), urethra infection (urethritis), and kidney infection (pyelonephritis). Depending on the severity of the infection and which part of the urinary tract that has been infected, your treatment may differ. In any case, you should never ignore the signs of a UTI and assume it will go away on its own or just by using holistic remedies. In some cases, an untreated acute UTI can lead to sepsis or long term organ damages such as kidney damage.

  • Burning sensation when passing urine

  • Persistent urge to urinate

We are here to help!

Telemedicine

For patients who get chronic urinary tract infections and have a great understanding of the signs and symptoms of the condition, sometimes a simple phone consultation with our physician will suffice in deciphering the type of medication as well as the duration of the course. Chronic UTI’s are cumbersome enough, therefore Studio Med doctors want to make this as easy for you as possible while still prioritizing your health and safety first.

Urgent Care Visits

This is recommended for all male patients, geriatric patients, and patients who rarely contract a UTI. A physical exam by our doctor can help make sure that there are no hidden infections or health risks elsewhere which can cause similar symptoms such as abdominal discomfort, nausea, fever, lower back pain, and more. If you have left your UTI untreated for a while, a house call is also helpful for our physician to rule out the need for IV antibiotics or a hospital visit.

IV Therapy

While your body fights the infection with the help of antibiotics, you can keep your discomfort to a minimum! Our in home IV Therapy services can provide a great amount of relief to your UTI symptoms especially nausea, vomiting, fever, chills, lower back pain, and abdominal cramps. On top of symptom relief, the added benefit of extra hydration also promote urination, which helps encourage the body to expel some of the bacteria in your urinary tract.
